Just looking at the OFURO makes you want to take a bath in it. Our Japanese wooden bathtub impresses with its functional design and meets the highest quality standards. "OFURO" is Japanese and means "private bath". Our OFURO is made of cedar wood, whose essential oils have a harmonizing and calming effect on the body and mind. The soft wood is carefully shaped by hand, assembled precisely and compacted using only natural materials. Finally, the tub is sanded down by our carpenter, which takes a lot of time. The wood is clamped in three elegant bands made of stainless steel. The OFURO from MAOMI translates Japanese tradition into the modern age. In bathrooms with limited space, the wooden tub can be used as a mobile bathtub - provided there is a floor-level shower. And if you set it up on the terrace or in the garden, you can relax weightlessly in the water in the open air.
Thanks to its surprisingly low weight of around 50 kilograms, the OFURO is easy to move.
Compared to western bathtubs, the OFURO has a smaller footprint, but is higher and steeper. This not only saves space, but also allows the water to literally come up to the bather's neck - a particularly relaxing experience that is supposed to ensure a clear head.
The OFUROs are made of cedar wood and stainless steel in the workshop of a Palatinate carpenter and barrel maker. Its characteristic, long-lasting fragrance helps you relax and is particularly effective when combined with warm water. The OFURO has a capacity of 200 liters and an output of 50 liters per minute. It is cleaned with the brush provided - no cleaning agents are required.
