The Phone Home SLEEPING BEAR by MAOMI
 Mental balance is closely related to the way the environment is designed. We have a place for our dishes, a place for our books, a place for our clothes. All of these objects are symbols of human needs: to nourish the body, to nurture the mind, to represent the inside to the outside.

How is it that we have no room for the one device that symbolizes our connection to the outside world - the whole world in front of us: our phone.

The Phone Home - a home for your phone and your distraction
With the aim of creating an environment for everyone to relax and unwind, we developed the Phone Home - a home for the phone and distractions.

But the Phone Home is not just a place where you can put your phone at the end of a stressful moment, day or week. It is an act of consciousness: you distance yourself from the outside world and send the phone to its own place so that you can finally come home - to yourself.

Its shape is meant to remind us to put the phone away, like a bear crawling into its cave for hibernation: it's a farewell for a while, not forever - but the phone and its owner can both emerge relaxed, calm and fully charged.

Minimalist design paired with functionality
The idea is to place the phone face down so as not to be distracted by flashing notifications. Alternatively, it can be put into "sleep mode" before being placed in its home. A hidden opening on the back provides space for a charging cable - so phone and person can both charge at the same time.
